The 11th Annual March 6-7, 2009 Conference in Columbia, SC!
SCAPT is honored to again feature Dr.
Nancy Davis as a keynote speaker during the
2009 Conference in March 2009. Dr. Davis is
the author of Therapeutic Stories to Heal Abused
Children & Therapeutic Stories that Teach and
Heal.
Dr. Davis has trained clinicians worldwide
and has recently completed a book for therapists
titled, Understanding and Treating Trauma.
She is also the author of Therapeutic Stories
to Heal Abused Children and Therapeutic Stories
that Teach and Heal. Dr. Davis’ extensive experience
in working with traumatized children and her
review of hundreds of trauma-related research
articles are the basis for the two parts of
her presentation: “Understanding the Impact
of Trauma and Grief on Children” and “The Use
of Therapeutic Storytelling in Play Therapy
with Traumatized Children.” This workshop will
support professionals who work with children
to understand how dramatically trauma and grief
can impact a child’s
functioning.
